Dutch Game Week 2026

Dutch Game Week 2026 is a nine-day celebration dedicated to games and the creative and technological disciplines surrounding them. From November 14 to 22, venues across Breda will host activities for industry professionals, students, developers, gamers and the wider public. The program includes conferences, industry meet-ups, exhibitions, workshops, esports, educational activities and cultural programming. Key events include the Dutch Game Week Conference, the Dutch Game Awards, the Newman Esports Tournament and a range of activities focused on art, development, applied gaming and technology. The organizers present the event as a meeting point where the professional games industry and the wider public can connect around games and interactive culture.

Nine days of programming

Dutch Game Week runs from November 14 to 22 across multiple locations in Breda rather than a single exhibition venue. The official program covers tracks including applied gaming, art and design, business, esports, entertainment, family and tech and development. This structure combines professional activities with public and educational programming, turning different parts of the city into meeting points for the games community.

Conference and Dutch Game Awards

One of the main professional blocks is the Dutch Game Week Conference, scheduled for November 19 and 20 at Chassé Theater. The conference focuses on creativity and innovation in games and also provides opportunities for networking. On November 19, the same venue will host the Dutch Game Awards. The ceremony recognizes different areas of the Dutch games industry, with categories including Best Game, Best Art, Best Audio, Best Narrative, Best Technology and Best Game Design.

Esports and education

The program also includes activities aimed at students and the next generation of creators. The Newman Esports Tournament takes place on November 14 and 15 at Newmancollege, with school teams competing in Valorant alongside an FC27 tournament. The Education Program runs throughout Dutch Game Week, bringing game professionals into classrooms and organizing excursions to studios and games companies in Breda.

Art, culture and games

Dutch Game Week extends beyond traditional game development with exhibitions, film, workshops, cultural activities and discussions around applied gaming. The From Idea to Interaction exhibition at Stedelijk Museum Breda explores how artists, designers and developers transform an initial idea into an interactive experience. The program also includes a film program from November 18 to 20 and public activities such as B'GAME Open Evening.
