About the Event
Rayman Legends Retold revisits the 2013 platformer with a completely refreshed presentation and a new narrative. The reimagining features upgraded 3D visuals, new cinematics, a mysterious sixth realm, four new musical stages, dragon-riding sequences and additional challenges. The game retains the series' platforming focus and can be played solo or through local couch co-op for up to four players. Ubisoft originally scheduled the game for October 1, 2026, but later moved the release to December 3 to give the team additional time to polish the experience before launch.
New release date
Rayman Legends Retold was originally scheduled for October 1, 2026, but Ubisoft announced in September that the release would move to December 3. The development team explained that, although the game had officially gone gold, it chose to take additional time to make sure the final experience received the care and polish it deserved.
A new version of Rayman Legends
The reimagining rebuilds the game's presentation with 3D visuals, new cinematics and a retold story featuring a new villain. The adventure preserves recognizable elements from the original while expanding the world with a sixth realm and new situations created specifically for this version.
New content and challenges
Rayman Legends Retold adds four new musical stages, dragon-riding sequences and new challenges such as the Cave of Trials. It also brings back familiar elements of the series, including boss battles and levels built around the fast-paced platforming and musical rhythm associated with Rayman.
Platforms and co-op
The game is scheduled for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC. The PC version will be available through Ubisoft Connect, Steam and the Epic Games Store. The full adventure can be played solo or with up to four players in local couch co-op.
