About the Event
SHAZNA’s VERSUS series begins on November 28 at Dance Hall Shinseiki, with ENVii GABRIELLA joining the first night. The two-act format brings together different styles and histories: SHAZNA, associated with Japanese visual kei in the 1990s, and ENVii GABRIELLA, a project combining music, dance and a contemporary stage identity. The series announcement says each date will close with a joint session featuring that night’s artists, making the event more than two consecutive sets. The opening pairing
ENVii GABRIELLA joins SHAZNA for the first VERSUS date. The choice establishes the series’ premise: bring different stage approaches together in a two-act format, without treating the night as a literal contest.
Two stage identities
SHAZNA brings a history tied to visual kei, while ENVii GABRIELLA adds music, dance and a distinctive image. Their contrast is central to this date and sets it apart from the series’ other pairings.
A shared finale
The announcement promises a final session featuring all performers at each show. Here, it offers a chance to see the two approaches converge after their individual sets.
