Steam Scream V Fest 2026

Steam Scream V Fest returns in 2026 as the fifth edition of Steam's themed event dedicated to horror. Valve has defined this edition specifically around horror games and, for Halloween, is also allowing titles whose base game is centered on the celebration. The festival runs from October 26 through November 2 and brings together discounts, demos, unreleased titles available in Coming Soon mode, and other ways to discover games connected to the genre. The event is designed as a concentrated opportunity for players to explore a themed selection during the week leading into Halloween.

Festival focus

Steam Scream V Fest focuses on horror games, with a specific exception for titles whose base game is about Halloween. Valve notes that themed downloadable content or temporary in-game Halloween events alone do not qualify a game for the event.

Dates and timing

The 2026 edition begins October 26 at 10:00 AM PDT and ends November 2 at 10:00 AM PDT. DaysToEvents uses these official Steam times as the start and end references for the countdown.

What players can find

The festival includes sections for discounted games, unreleased titles available in Coming Soon mode, and games with demos. It is therefore a useful discovery window for both known releases and upcoming projects.

Discovery and participation

Steam Scream is part of Steam's themed event calendar and gives players a concentrated selection of horror-related games. The fifth edition keeps its Halloween connection while defining the event more clearly around the horror genre.
